• 2006-2009: undergraduate study - Masaryk University Brno, Faculty of Science, Hydrobiology. Thesis: Water temperature in streams and its effect on life strategies of chironomids(Diptera:Chironomidae).
• 2009-2011: undergraduate study - Masaryk University Brno, Faculty of Science, Hydrobiology. Thesis: Typology of stream chironomid assemblages: specific characteristics and environmental preferences.
• 2011-present: Ph.D. study - Masaryk University Brno, Faculty of Science, Vertebratology. Thesis: Chromosom Y and speciation, (supervisor J.Piálek).
