- condition dependence in sexually selected ornaments,
- physiology of ageing and life-history evolution,
- physiological and oxidative stress ecology.

- 1998–2004: undergraduate study - University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Medicine. MVDr.(=DVM) thesis: Prevalence of Tumours and Antibodies against Leukosis and Sarcoma Viruses of Subgroups A and B in Breeding and Production Flocks of Layers, (supervisor L.Kulíková).
- 2004–2007: Ph.D. study - University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine; Avian, Reptile and Small Mammal Medicine.
