Monitoring of large carnivores in SCI Beskydy was a scientific project given as a public order by the Nature Conservation Agency of the Czech Republic and financed by the European Union via State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic. The aim of the project was to evaluate the state of the large carnivore populations in SCI Beskydy by the use of various methods (GPS telemetry, camera-trapping, hair-trapping, DNA analyses, diet analyses, field monitoring) and to prepare recommendations for their protection.
