Activities:

  • Meetings organized by the group recently:

INDIAN-SUMMER SCHOOL OF PHYSICS - held annually since 1988.

Achievements and Perspectives in Low-Energy QCD with Strangeness
    - ECT* Trento, October 27-31, 2014 - J. Mares was a co-organizer.

    SPHERE MEETING - Prague, September 9 - 11, 2014.

    The 10th JSPS Core-to-Core symposium - Prague, December 5 - 8, 2013.

Strangeness in the Universe? Theoretical and experimental progress and challenges
    - ECT* Trento, October 21-25, 2013 - J. Mares was a co-organizer.

New trends in the low-energy QCD in the strangeness sector:experimental and theoretical aspects - ECT* Trento, October 15-19, 2012 - J. Mares was a co-organizer.

    LEANNIS MEETING - Prague, May 21-22, 2012.

    SPHERE+JSPS MEETING - Prague, September 4-6, 2010.

  • The group participated in these projects:

SPHERE (FP7 - HadronPhysics3 -WP6) - (Strange Particles in Hadronic Environment Research in Europe) coordinating studies of hypernuclei at FINUDA@DAPHNE, KAOS@MAMI, HYPHI@GSI and PANDA@FAIR. The Network supports the exchange of new ideas and technologies and tightens the relations among the various experimental and theoretical research groups in Europe.

LEANNIS (FP7 - HadronPhysics3 -WP9) - Low-Energy Antikaon Nucleon and Nuclei Interaction Studies - "The central objectives of the proposed network activity LEANNIS are the definition and coordination of studies on low-energy antikaon nucleon and nuclei interaction in theory and experiment centered on European scale, but with strong impact on the worldwide strategy in the field."

    HadronPhysics3

CORE-TO-CORE PROGRAM - The "International Collaboration Platform for Strangeness Nuclear Physics by Electron Beams" under JSPS aims at establishing a global network for strangeness nuclear physics, emphasizing its investigation on hypernuclear physics using electron and photon beams at electron accelerator facilities such as JLab, MAMI and ELPH(LNS) of Tohoku University. It also intends to strengthen cooperation among world leading theorists and specialists in the field.
