Welcome

The joint SPHERE and JSPS Meeting 2010 will be held September 4-6, 2010 in Prague, Czech Republic. The meeting will be hosted by the Nuclear Physics Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.

SPHERE (Strange Particles in Hadronic Environment Research in Europe) coordinates studies of hypernuclei at FINUDA@DAPHNE, KAOS@MAMI, HYPHI@GSI and PANDA@FAIR. The Network supports the exchange of new ideas and technologies and tightens the relations among the various experimental and theoretical research groups in Europe.

The Core-to-Core Program of the "International Collaboration Platform for Strangeness Nuclear Physics by Electron Beams" under JSPS aims at establishing a global network for strangeness nuclear physics, emphasizing its investigation on hypernuclear physics using electron and photon beams at electron accelerator facilities such as JLab, MAMI and ELPH(LNS) of Tohoku University. It also intends to strengthen cooperation among world leading theorists and specialists in the field.

We cordially invite you to participate and contribute to the meeting. Please note that the number of participants is limited to 40.
