Eighth Liblice Conference
on the Statistical Mechanics of Liquids
Call for papers
Mol. Phys. Issue
SPECIAL ISSUE OF MOLECULAR PHYSICS
The conference is devoted to basic research in statistical mechanics and to the application of molecular-
based theories of liquids. The aim of the conferences is to provide an effective forum for
contacts and for the exchange of ideas, with an emphasis on discussions rather than on
formal presentations, highlighting achievements and challenges in both theoretical and
applied aspects of the discipline.
In addition to the traditional topics (fundamentals of liquid-state theories, methodologies of
molecular simulation, and non-equilibrium phenomena), the programme of the 8th Liblice
Conference will include recent specific developments in the treatment of inhomogeneous
systems (interface, liquid crystals, nanosystems), aqueous systems, polymers and colloids,
biomolecules and self-organizing systems, nucleation, chemically reacting systems, and
supercooled/glassy states.
Taylor and Francis Group Ltd are supporting the Conference by sponsoring a Molecular
Physics Lecture and by publishing papers contributed by participants as a Special Issue of
the Journal. Participants of the Conference are invited to contribute an article for the Special
Issue. The manuscripts will be refereed to the usual high standard. Papers which incorporate
some review material will be acceptable so long as novel work is also presented. The
Special Issue is scheduled to appear late in 2010 or early in 2011.
All submissions should be made online at the Molecular Physics ScholarOne Manuscripts
site at
http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/tmph. New users should first create an account.
Once logged on to the site, submissions should be made via the Author Centre as a Special
Issue Paper – EIGHTH LIBLICE CONFERENCE on the statistical mechanics of liquids.
Online user guides and access to a helpdesk are available on this website.
Manuscripts may be submitted in any standard format, including Word, PostScript and PDF.
These files will be automatically converted into a PDF file for the review process. LaTeX files
should be converted to PDF prior to submission. This journal does not accept Microsoft
Word 2007 documents. Please use Word's "Save As" option to save your document as an older (.doc) file type. For further ‘Instructions for Authors’ go to
http://www.tandf.co.uk/journals/journal.asp?issn=0026-8976&linktype=44.
The deadline for the receipt of the manuscripts is 31 July 2010.
