Call for Papers: Special Issue of Molecular Physics
The Editors of
Molecular
Physics and the publisher (
Taylor and Francis Group
Ltd) are pleased to announce a
Special Issue of Molecular
Physics dedicated to contributions of the 7th International
Liblice Conference on the Statistical Mechanics of Liquids.
Participants of the Conference are invited to contribute an article
for the Special Issue.
The manuscripts will be refereed to the
usual high standard. Papers which incorporate some review material
will be acceptable so long as novel work is also presented. The
Special Issue is scheduled to appear early in 2007. Please send
an electronic version of the manuscript (in PDF or PostScript format)
to the Special Issue Editor (g.jackson
imperial.ac.uk).
The deadline for the receipt of the manuscripts is 31 July 2006.
Topics
The 7th Conference followed the spirit of the previous
meetings to provide an effective forum for contacts and for the exchange
of ideas, with an emphasis on discussions rather than on formal
presentations, highlighting achievements and challenges in both
theoretical and applied aspects of the discipline.
In addition to the traditional topics,
- fundamentals of liquid-state theories
- methodology of molecular simulation
- non-equilibirum phenomena
the programme of the 7th Liblice Conference
included recent specific developments in the treatment of inhomogeneous
systems (interface, liquid crystals, nanosystems), aqueous systems, polymers
and colloids, biomolecules and self-organizing systems, nucleation,
chemically reacting systems, and supercooled/glassy states.
Keynote speakers
The list of keynote speakers included:
Dellago Ch., Vienna | Reguera D., Barcelona |
de Pablo J., Madison | Rowlinson J., Oxford |
Kofke D., Buffallo | Sprik M., Cambridge |
Lomba E., Madrid | Theodorou D., Athens |
