Concerning the epidemiological situation in the Czech Republic, various anti-epidemic measures are still valid. The state of emergency was declared on October 5, 2020 and lasted until April 11, 2021. At this moment, the regulations are determined by the pandemic law. More information about the Covid-19 pandemic in the Czech Republic is also available here. Charles University started the academic year 2020/2021 as planned. However, most classes take place online (in distance form).
The submission of applications is still open for various study programmes. Check the central database of all study programmes or the list with extended application deadlines where you may find all the essential information. List of all study programmes in foreign languages for the academic year 2021/2022 is also available here. Charles University does not open Bachelor´s and Master´s programmes for spring intake, the admission procedure takes place once a year only.
At this moment, travelling to and from the Czech Republic is restricted. However, the situation evolves every day. Please, follow the website of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic for conditions and updates. Also, stay in touch with the Czech embassies abroad.
You can find the conditions for entry of persons to the territory of the Czech Republic in accordance with the Ministry of Health Protective Measure in the attached document (valid from May 4, 2021).
Acceptance of new long-term visa/residence permit applications for the purpose of study is resumed at the respective consulates including Student Facilitation Program (REŽIM STUDENT). The Ministry of Foreign Affairs updates the table regularly.
