Máme za sebou další úspěšnou účast na kariérních veletrzích. Letos jsme začali 4. 4. na FJFI ČVUT na osvědčené akci „Ulov mě na Jaderce“ a pokračovali jsme 24. 4. na události „Dny firem na Matfyzu“.
We experienced another successful participation in career fairs. This year we started on 4th April at the FJFI CTU at the proven event "Ulov mě na Jaderce" and continued on 24th April at "Dny firem na Matfyzu". In both cases, a considerable number of students, especially students of physics and mathematics who are already looking for job opportunities during their studies, arrived at the FZU stand. Together we discussed the possibilities of professional employment and the offer of internships at FZU.
Peter Ware Higgs, the British theoretical physicist known for his work on the Higgs boson and the Higgs mechanism, passed away on Monday 8 April at the age of 95.
V pondělí 8. dubna zemřel ve věku 95 let Peter Ware Higgs, britský teoretický fyzik, jehož jméno je neodmyslitelně spojeno s Higgsovým bosonem a Higgsovým mechanismem.
The core of the SenDISo program is the development of a new generation of detectors and chemical biosensor solutions. Interdisciplinary research will focus on the creation of technologies for environmental monitoring (portable VOC sensors for pollution monitoring), improved medical diagnostics (discovery and analysis of trace amounts of biomarkers to combat serious diseases) and radiotherapy and quality control in industry. The new tools will, among other things, enable sensitivity at the level of individual (bio)molecules, opening the door to discoveries in life sciences and early diagnosis of serious diseases such as cancer.
Jádrem programu SenDISo je vývoj nové generace detektorů a chemicko-biosenzorických řešení. Interdisciplinární výzkum se zaměří na tvorbu technologií pro monitorování životního prostředí (přenosné senzory těkavých organických sloučenin sloužící k monitorování znečištění), zlepšení lékařské diagnostiky (objev a analýza stopových množství biomarkerů umožňujících bojovat proti závažným onemocněním) a radioterapie a kontroly kvality v průmyslu. Nové nástroje mimo jiné umožní citlivost na úrovni jednotlivých (bio)molekul a otevřou tak dveře objevům v oblasti věd o živé přírodě a včasné diagnostice závažných onemocnění, jako je rakovina.
The research in TERAFIT project will focus on the development of applications that are essential for the Internet of Things and the Big Data economy. The aim is to achieve breakthroughs towards a new generation of information technologies – the three research objectives of the project focus on interconnected breakthroughs that will lead to substantial savings on energy, space and time scales.
