Transportation

The easiest way to reach the workshop place by Prague public transport is by metro to the station Roztyly (line C - red). When you get there to the surface, you will already see buildings of the Institute of Atmospheric Physics (IAP) behind the highway. The walk takes about 10 minutes and leads right of the OBI supermarket through a highway underpass. The path is depicted by red line in the following map of the neighborhood of the IAP.

If you prefer to take a taxi from the airport, you can use contracted transport. In the city, you can try companies as City Taxi or AAA.

Single-trip tickets for public transport can be purchased at some surface transport stops and all metro stations at ticket vending machines (basic 32 CZK or limited 24 CZK) or on the bus or tram from the driver with a small additional charge. The passenger is obliged to stamp the ticket before commencing the journey in machines installed in buses, trams or at the entrance of metro stations. The basic single ticket for 32 CZK covers the entire city centre, is valid for 90 minutes and allows transfers and use of any public transport system without being restamped. The same holds for the limited single ticket for 24 CZK but with time of validity only 30 minutes.

In case that you plan to use public transport more frequently you can purchase 3 day (72 hour) ticket for 310 CZK or 1 day (24 hour) ticket for 110 CZK.
